Drop-in Workshop: What’s in Your Pantry?

  • Pao Arts Center 99 Albany Street Boston, MA, 02111 United States (map)

Join Pao Art Center’s for a series of creative drop-in workshops programmed in conjunction with our latest exhibition, Inspired by... Artwork by Josiah Quincy Elementary School Students. Families and children are invited to view the exhibit and create their own work.  Parents and guardians must remain on site and can to create work with their children or explore the gallery on their own. This workshop is geared towards children ages 4-12 but all ages are welcome.

No prior art experience required; just bring your enthusiasm and curiosity. We will have instructors who can speak English and/or Mandarin or Cantonese.

Embark on a deliciously creative adventure with our, “What’s in Your Pantry?” workshop.  Turn everyday pantry items into tiny, delectable sculptures using quick dry clay and paints. Drawing inspiration from the exhibit, brainstorm various pantry items that are significant to you. The workshop will conclude with a brief share out so that every child can explain what food item they made and why it’s significant to them.
