CALL FOR ZINE ARTISTS
Pao Arts Center is thrilled to announce its Spring 2023 exhibition, Call and Response, featuring illustrations by Boston-based Asian American and Pacific Islander artists created in response to the pandemic, including the rise of anti-Asian hate.
As part of the exhibition, we are inviting AAPI artists of all ages, including young and emerging artists, to submit their zine artwork created since the start of pandemic in 2020. The selected zines will be featured in a reading library within the exhibit for visitors to look through during their visit. Our goal is to showcase the illustrations of different AAPI artists while demonstrating our community’s intergenerational fight against anti-Asian hate through self-expression and creativity.
Zine submissions can be submitted to Pao Arts Center via pdf, mailed (please include a self-addressed envelope or additional label so that we can mail back the zine if needed) or dropped off to our offices at 99 Albany Street, Boston, MA.
