On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, Pao Arts Center supporters, partners, artists, and Leadership Council members joined our Mid-Autumn Celebration. The Mid-Autumn Festival is a time of gathering, gratitude, and dreaming of the future. In that spirit, Pao Arts Center guests came together to build community through the arts and celebrate the closing of our fall exhibits.
It was a night of joy that brought together those who are passionate about uplifting AAPI artists and the Chinatown community. 95 guests were able to take in the final days of Where We Meet: Imagining Gardens and Futures, and were treated to a presentation of the Experience Chinatown murals, installed on Chinatown business storefronts from August 30 to October 17.

Cynthia Woo, Pao Arts Center Director, Gabrielle Niu, Assistant Curator of the Collection and Exhibitions at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and our fall exhibit, and Mel Taing, exhibiting artist shared insights about the works-on-view which centered public green spaces and the importance of connecting with nature.
Artists from the exhibit, as well as the muralists, engaged in thoughtful conversation with the appreciative guests, bringing people closer to local artists and their work.
Events such as these are offered to Pao Arts Center supporters, and if you are interested in supporting AAPI artists and the local community, we encourage you to reach out to us at arts@bcnc.net or to make an online donation.
