Pao Arts Center Artist-in-Residence Wen-hao Tien used materials found during her time in Chinatown to create many of the pieces for Wen-hao Tien: Home On Our Backs, Tien’s solo exhibition currently on view at the Center.

Create your own sculptural pieces from objects you find at home as we spend an afternoon creating, making, and dreaming of things that remind us of our own homes!

The workshop will be led by artist and art educator Mae-Chu O’Connell.

All-ages welcome with adult supervision recommended for children.

About the Artist

Mae-Chu, an artist, lion dancer, and educator, grew up in Boston's suburbs. She has loved creating art, recently developed the community-based art, that started with projects as an arts specialist at Red Oak Afterschool and Summer Program. To date all her work in this category has remained geared towards kids, teaching art and working with the children of this community is her source of immense joy.
